I got 11 pkgs. so 22 blocks, 2 pkgs. which were my own. I got 4 pkgs. of those made by Abbigail. (Beautiful by the way, Brenda. They ALL were gorgeous. Gotta love that Batik.)

The way I figure it now... since Erins were never returned, but Michelle replaced them??? there are 5 of us dividing up all of swap 1 and 7 of us dividing up swap 2.
If each person sent in 10 bags for swap 1, that's 50 bags and each of we 5 should get back 10 bags.
If each person sent in 10 bags for swap 2, that's 70 bags and each of we 7 should get back 10 bags.

Now, if Erin's weren't physically replaced, then that's a horse of another color.
Swap 1 would have 40 bags and each of the 5 should get 8 bags.
Swap 2 would have 60 bags and each of the 7 should get 8 bags and 4 people get 1 extra block.

So, Michelle... did you physically put in bags for Erin or are we all just going to share ours with her? That's fine with me. I'm happy to go that route.

There seems to be a lot of concern about people getting shorted because my blocks were never forwarded. Please remove my name from the list. Obviously there are bad feelings and I'm tired of listening to the complaining. Believe me ladies, I certainly didn't send them to DJ to cause such a ruckas. It's certainly not worth it.

I don't think it's so much that everyone is concerned because of your blocks. We are concerned that some that that sent in more than what they are receiving. We just want to make sure they get what they sent in. Please don't take it personally.

I''''m happy to share blocks with you, Erin. No one blames you one bit for your blocks being taken away. I almost sent mine to DJ! I had the envelope made out and stamped, ready to go when all this came down. Making those blocks, while not difficult, was time-consuming. Michelle said she had you covered, but didn''''t say how. So I didn''''t know if that meant we were sharing, which was fine, or if she''''d put in some. That''''s what I was questioning.
I knew Pat only got 14. I got 22. We should all get the same amount. Michelle has a lot on her mind right now with her sick baby.

Michelle and Erin,

Just to let you both know I am sorry if I stirred up a hornets nest here. Erin we all sent in 40 blocks and some 20 blocks that was for 10 persons, since there were 7 total the extra was to help make up for the ones that DJ kept.
You were going to get blocks either way. You did sign up and you did 40 . Just someone must have liked them so well she kept them. Who knows!
Michelle I do not want you to make extras either you were suppose to do 40 and no more. If I find out you made more to make up then I am going to be pissed and you will have me all over you.
I know mistakes happen, I only want the ones that you forgot to mail from your stash and nothing more.
I just don't know how to say this in kind words , those that received theirs I am not going to ask for anything back, the time,mailing, and trying to keep it straight gives me a headache.
I hope to see pictures of those leaves anyway.
I know all of you are willing to send and give them up but you have them already and please understand this keep them make yourself a cozy quilt and when you have it wrapped around you just think of us 7 that had a time getting this together. Please!
If someones wants to trade for if they have too many of one kind then we can swap around. Show pictures if need to be and that way all can share or pick something? Does that make since.

I have been working extra hard this past week, I now have 80 more blocks made , for a king size. Unknown if I am going to put a border around each leaf to set it off from the other. Any ideas????

Even though they are upside down Pat? LMBO!!! I am sorry to those of you who got my upside down blocks. I spent most of my nights working on them and I guess I just didn't see it. If it helps, MOST of the ones I made for myself are upside down, backwards, or kooky. lol


Pat, back still hurts and it really didn't help that Megan was worming around the kitchen floor last night and I tripped over her and fell backwards on to the kitchen table and then the floor. I am going back to the DR on Thursday.

YOu need to be very careful there girl. BUt am glad you got a laugh out of midnite blocks. Some people don't do well working during nite, Then there are a few of us just likes to keep going, then sleep in mornings.
Not much of a morning person. And I nap around 7 pm for about 30 minutes then ready to go again.

Danger lurking around floors anymore, I tripped over our blind dog in hall way I hit bathroom doorfacing instead of hitting floor, Would have a hard time getting up from floor.
take it easy , One that is still hanging on tree doing leaves for my quilt. Got blocks done for DD's just putting together today and more tomorrow.
