Hello,
There are no fires in her area which is only up in the foothills from here about 20 miles.. I don't know her personally however, it sounds like she is out of town and thus not keeping tabs on what is arriving... could anyone send me her address... I dont have it and would like to send mine as well.

Re: October Charms ~ Sewing theme!!!!
Good morning ladies, just got internet hooked up in my hotel yesturday so it was the first I could touch base with any of you. I am in beautiful downtown Fresno, CA at an eastern star convention until this sunday. DD is home to get packages and sent me a message yesturday morning that three more have arrived but didn't say who. She worked the late shift and went in at 5am to open this morning so I sent her a message to send me the names on the packages so I can update all of you sometime today. Hope all is well for everyone and that you are as excited about this swap as I am!! Chat soon.................Debi

Debi,
Mine were given to the postman at my husband's office about 3 hours ago. It will be interesting to see how long it takes. Sent by flat rate priority envelope. I really don't like those envelopes and had to reinforce with lots of wide tape and reinforced the return envelope too except for the final tab that you fold down. Will you please secure that last fold over on the return envelope. I know that the post office makes those envelopes to be recycled but they split because the cardboard and seams are so flimsy for quilt square packages. How do the rest of you send your blocks? I am new to the swaps. What kind of packaging do you find the most sturdy without springing for postage for a box. Oh, I kept my set and only sent 11 of them.
Thanks,
Cyber-Sue

Re: October Charms ~ Sewing theme!!!!
Sue, I sent my charms the same way you did. I didn't have to reinforce the envelope and I'm always afraid they'll reject it if I do. The man at the post office said I was cutting it close using the flat rate envelope because it didn't close easily, but I had no problem getting it closed and I told him that I've been told at the post office before that if I can close it, I can use it.
Once in a while I get someone real nice that will put tape on it for me just to make sure it closes really nice. When I have a block swap or a noodle swap then I have to use the priority envelopes that are bigger and way sturdier, but it does cost more. Hope this helps.

Re: October Charms ~ Sewing theme!!!!
I have mine cut, but only had enough for 11 bags of 4. Some got doubles. Will it be ok if you just consider that I have kept mine? There were scraps left over so I can use them for myself, just not enough to make 8" squares. They are cut, tagged and bagged ready to be mailed tomorrow morning. Debie - I don't have your addy. Can you/someone send it to me? Thanks.

heading out this am to the grocery store, LQS, and the post office (not necessarily in that order). Still don't have an addy. Guess they will have to go in the mail Monday.
