Headliner fabric

Post by 13ghosts2 » Tue Sep 09, 2008 11:03 am

Does anyone have any place on line that they know of where I can purchase headliner fabric to make a design wall. I have been searching but unable to find anything.

Do you mean like they line the headliner in cars??? If so, I would call an autobody shop and see where they get it. Hope this helps!

Thanks Susie, I was told I could find it in an upholstery store also which would probably be cheaper. This is what Eleanor used for her design wall and I really liked it.

Well, I hate to sound like a stuck record, but there was a young man buying some at Hancock fabrics the other day. I did, however, hear from someone that they might quit carrying it.

We bought headliner fabric at either Hancock's or JoAnn's. We can't remember which and it was 12 yrs. ago.

I saw it in our JoAnn's store recently. I never thought about using it for a design wall. Well I have learned something else today here. Thanks!

We carry it at Joann's. I have seen it there. I am going to get some when I am ready to put up my design wall also.

Brenda I see you too are in Kentucky. I am in Bardstown and have no Joann Fabrics near me. I think the closest one is in Lexington about an hour or so away from me.

The design wall directions is under patterns on Eleanors site and how much headliner fabric is needed.

I tripped over some at Hancock's Friday night. I was considering ordering 108" wide flannel to make my design wall. Does anyone have any pros and cons of the two mateials?
