Thanks swakins for your input. I am starting to make sense of this. I never make something from scratch. I always look at the picture in the book and get my colors/patterns from it. This was the first time I saw the fabric I like and decided to make a quilt.
carolej, I think I understand. I have a piece that might work. I'll cut some pieces and lay them out.
so it is back to the drawing board for me. :0
