I don't have a comment on the 830,but i do Like my Bernina QE440..Great Machines

The lady who taught me how to quilt has an 830 and she loves it. She does beautiful work,too. Her Mom passed that machine down to her and she has absolutely no desire have a newer machine. And she could afford to buy anything she wanted. Afterall, it's really not the machine that makes the quilt but the person driving it, that's what she always says! Amie :o)

I have had a 830 over thirth years, and love to sew with it. One of the things you may want to think about if you are buying one is you can only get parts from other 830's. Bernina has no new parts. carol
