I just completed my first Disappearing 9 Patch for our soon to be born 6th grandchild, a girl. Her name will be Talia, thus the quilts name "Talia's Treasure".

Oh Wow! That is beautiful! The colored block look as if they are floating! What size 9 patch did you start out with? I love the border too. ~Abbigail~

I really really like the colored blocks set against the white. This is the first one I have seen designed like this. Very nice. I'll have to try coordinating some colors/tonals together. I was so afraid of scrappy, and now that is all I make. LOL
Have Fun,

Beautiful quilt--love the colors and the white setting and borders.
Such a pretty use of colors, fresh and pleasant. Lucky baby.
Where did you get the pattern?

Hi Mary and Carol,
Thanks SO much for your compliments! I started with the basic "Disappearing 9 Patch" tutorial that is circulating the web. There are several, just type the above into the Google or whatever search engine. After viewing many others pics who'd made them, I decided to add sashings, then the piano key border to give it the finished size/look I was after.
The fabs used are "Apron Strings" charm pack for the prints, Moda Marbles for the tonal and Moda Muslin Mates white TOT.

Hi Winona,
I hope our new granddaughter Talia, will love it. Some day she will learn that our oldest grandson, nearly 16, assisted me in putting it together. He was here visiting us for a week last month, took an interest in my quilting so I asked him if he'd like to arrange the piano keys. He jumped on it, and you see the result. How cool is that?

Hi Oasis,
Funny you should say you were afraid of scrappy - I was too!! Down right terrified in fact. My first "scrappy" is actually a controlled scrappy, but I am becoming more comfortable with the idea. Scrappy isn't so bad after all, lol. Thanks for your compliment.
