Thanks Evie for posting the Link to your block!!! I had found one similar when I searched from the list we got on the e-mail from Caroline... but I'm glad I haven't started sewing--it would have been the wrong block!!! Fortunately I have made this block before so at least I know how to do this one!!!

Hi Caroline,

I received you PM. Thanks. Because of the time you've taken and not to disappoint the group, I wouldn't mind staying on if you've not yet found a replacement.

I am feeling productive...I finished my first block last night and love what she selected for colors and block. I am not doing them in order since I am pulling from my stash. I want to thank everyone for selecting blocks that will be fun to try..ones I might never have tried.

1 down 10 to go :)

I haven't made my first block but washed and ironed the material today so I think by this week-end I will have my first block done.

Ruth
10/10 finished my first block and it turned out beautifully. I'd post a pic but that would ruin the surprise so we'll just have to wait. Now on to the second block. What fun!!

I have been working on the birthday blocks. Is it ever fun. I am stretching my sewing skills by making blocks that I might never have made. It also has really put me in touch with my stash - looking through it, over and over again, to find just the right piece of purple, or blue/yellow. I have 4 up on the design wall to enjoy as I sew. The paving crew is fixing our street today - so there is no exit - too bad, I will just have to sew!
thanks for the opportunity to be creative.Linda
