I'm in for sure--- I think this one will be so much FUN!!! Any time, any theme! One suggestion--- an Easter Village? Springtime colors, easter eggs in the yard, a bunny peeking out of the window....

I may do this one :o) I love Bonnie's patterns and love scrappy, too. If we could do sets like DJ's swaps do, it would be really great. Like, sets of like 10 or 12, so some can do just 1 set and others may want to do more than 1 set. Scrappy is fine with me, I'm really getitng into the whole scrappy thing!
After the holidays is good for me,too.

This swap id a great idea! Amie :o)

Good idea, Amie. Looks like there is going to be enough people to "play house." So, give me more ideas, ladies and gents, as you think of them. I'll post instructions and signups probably in late September, give us a month to sign up, then have blocks due maybe early to mid Feb. Ideas are welcome, please keep them coming! I like the idea of a house swap. Would this be a wonky house or just the house and each swapper decides how to put them together? I'm looking forward to your sign-up. I'm like quilterbee, I like the idea of scrappy.

I'm thinking that we will just make the house and then each person will decide how to put them together. The pattern gives directins for wonky and others have made some suggestions of how to put them together, which I will put together and post as well. I will post for signups probably in mid to late september. That way everyone will have plenty of time to sign up and get the blocks done, I know some people like to start early and some may want to start if they have a bit of time before the holidays and then finish gradually. The due date will be Late Jan/early Feb. Thanks for the interest, everyone, I'm looking forward to this one. HUGS, carol/kittyquilt

I like the idea of just making the house and letting everyone add the wonky. If we use our own fabrics to add the wonky, I think the quilt would blend together better. Just an idea, I'll go along with what you decide.

I agree, just a house and then everyone can make them wonky themselves. I also like Amie's idea about making "sets", 10 or 12 in a set would be good. I like the idea of sets because then no matter how many people sign up you don't have to make too many and you still have enough to make at least a lap quilt, or add more yourself and have a larger quilt.

SewSew, I'm going to set it up that way so more people can enjoy the houses. I can see this quilt being finished so many ways. I'm thinking of 12 or 20. That way someone will be able to make a 3 x 4 quilt or a 4 x 5 quilt. It can always be made bigger is someone wants to add their own or change the size of the sahsing or borders, etc.

What do you all think? Please share your ideas. That way, we'll have a fun swap that everyone will be pleased with get a really nice quilt. HUGS, carol/kittyquilt

I think this would be a fun swap, and would love to join in. I agree that Jan/Feb/Mar would be a better time to get this swap going-as long as it's after the holidays!

Wouldn't it be a fun idea to have the swap participants write their QIAD user name and real name (along with their state) on the door (or window) of the house?!! What do you think?!!

PS Don't worry 'bout hurting my feelings if ya don't agree. It's only a suggestion (and I've got my "big girl panties" on so I can handle any & all opinions!!!!) LOL
