I think we should try to stick to the 15th. deadline that was originally established to send out the Secret Pal gifts. There are so many that haven't gotten their's yet for July and some never got for June....so sad.
This was supposed to be a fun thing!

I think July was messed up because it was sent late and then there have been so many vacations. I know I was late sending mine out and although I haven't received a July package I am not concerned

I still think that if there continue to be so many that don't receive a gift, it may really be time to start a new list-- have a new sign-up... I have received a gift for all except one month, and a sweetheart filled in on that one-- but still think that if there are people who month after month aren't sending a gift out, they should be taken off the list. I really feel bad for those who aren't getting a gift. It's just not fair..

I've got my name for August and hope to get it together and mail before the end on next week. I don't think she posted to the "hints" thread, so I'll just send things that *I* like and hope that *she* likes them too!

I think if we all aim to have our package in the mail by the 15th, as mamaw suggested, that will perhaps help us from getting caught up at the end of the month and then the gifts are late, etc., etc.

Maybe we should send Cindy a comfirmation that we want to still be in. Maybe some people have just dropped out and forgot to tell Cindy to take their name off the list--too many things going on perhaps.

Think on it, Cindy, maybe this month ask everyone who wants to continue to pm you. If you don't get a pm by a specified date, assume they aren't/can't participate and take them off the list. If they want to return again when they can, they can pm you and you'll put them back on. I get a bit concerned that some people may just get caught up and forget they need to let you know. Let's try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and simply ask for a confirmation. It's been 6months now, so time to re-commit/update.

Good idea, Carol! I think that what you are saying is probably what is happening in a lot of the instances with people not receiving gifts. What you suggest would take care of probably the majority of the problem...

I think updating the list would be a good idea and I do think that July was a difficult month because names were sent out late. I know that I just mailed my July gift this morning because I have been so busy all month that I just did not have time.

I have received gifts every month, except for July, and sometimes early in the month and sometimes late but all have been greatly appreciated. It really doesn't bother me that I haven't seen anything for July because I know I was really late sending mine out too.
