Good thing I'm typing, my jaw is on the floor.
I am nearly speechless.
I am in awe.
Amazing,

Thanks all for your compliments!
As for working with silk, I think the biggest lesson learned was that it frays a lot - as in really a lot - and if I ever use it again I'll try to do a zig-zag stich around the edges. I had to square it up quite a bit in the end since the edges had completely unraveled.
I went back to working with cotton yesterday, and it is certainly easier to handle

Maria...you have done it again. You just never cease to impress me with your obvious talent. I think there is quite an artist lurking in that scientific brain of yours. Since as you have mentioned, there aren't a lot of people over there who appreciate quilting, I don't think you really realize just how good you are. Especially since you have not been at this very long. Can't wait to see what you try next.

Wow, Maria! You are a quilt artist for sure! One day when you are the famous quilter from Sweden I hope you remember us.

Maria, your quilt is definitely a work of art. I love your McTavishing and tarpunto they really add so much texture to your quilt. Love it!
