Hand Quilting Help
I know this is the wrong area to post this, but many of you look in this folder, I have also placed this in Projects From The Heart.
I am going to try to hand quilt some placemats that I have made. I have never hand quilted before. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? I would really like to see a video online or read some directions. Can anyone help?
THANKS!

I suggest you get books from the library, take a class, search the internet, including Utube. The world is your oyster

I did a search on youtube like CarEn suggested. There's quite a few. I didn't watch any so I don't know if they will be helpful:

WOW Evie....there are some great videos there. I love youtube.
Thanks for the site.
My only suggestion TCbeginner is to try and find someone to show you the basics, like making the quilter's knot, basting, type of batting that is good for hand quilting, how to bury your knots, etc. As I have always been told, it is more important to have even stitches than to have small stitches. Once you learn all the basics, then it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice.
I remember when I first learned how to hand quilt. I couldn't remember how to make the quilter's knot. I was in a quilt store, and just kind of said out loud...can someone show me how to make a quilter's know. People came out of the woodwork.
HAVE FUN!!!!
