Sunday July 6 Sew In

Post by SFOQuilter » Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:04 am

Good morning everyone. The holiday weekend is coming to an end. I hope everyone had a great time. I am going to work on one of my list projects today. I am doing a pattern called Snapshots from one of Terry Atkinson's books. Looks fast and easy:) I leave for Japan in the morning so this is my last day until next weekend to sew. I sent my Janome to the shop yesterday for a cleaning and service while I'm out of town. I'm breaking out my spare machine.

What are you all working on today?

Good Morning Michelle, your Angel flew into my mail box this weekend. Thank You. You are VERy creative. I hope you have a safe journey to Japan. Hope you're going for fun?

Hi Susan, do you do the binding by hand or per machine?

We're having a lazy Sunday so far. We all went to a nice Mexican restaurant and were plannin to go to the movies afterwards to watch Walli. Towards the end of our meal I doubled over from pain in my abd. area. Jeff brought me home and I insisted they carrt on to go to the movies. So I slept from 6pm untill midnight. Of course I could not sleep much more then that, but my belly ache went away.

If we're all stay home I might set up a sewing area and see if I can throw my BOM project together. Sail boat blocks are due this week Alina.

*C* did you receive the cord?

Hi Everyone,
I think I need to put a hold on quilting today, however I started a tote the other day and would love to work on it! The apricots are ripe and need to be picked and preserves made. It only lasts for a few short weeks and I am home full time right now so it isn't so bad.

Susanna - How are you feeling this morning? It sounds like you had kind of awful night last night.

Hello :o) Hope everyone is having a great day. Hubby and I went out for breakfast this morning, then we went looking for cabinets for my quilting room, of course nobody had any in stock, so will have to wait just a bit longer :o( Hotter than heck here today, first day in the high 90's - guess I'll just stay in and piddle around the house.

Michelle - think they have any quilting stores in Japan?? Anxious to see what fabrics to can buy over there. Have a safe and fun trip

Good afternoon to all. Just got dried off from giving both dogs a bath in the kiddie pool & of course first thing they did was roll around in the grass. I'm working on another charm tote & cutting noodles from brown & pink for a square in a square quilt for my DD. Not much else going on, we're having turkey meatloaf & sweet potato fries for supper. Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

Unfortunately I am not going to Japan for fun but for business. I leave San Francisco tomorrow morning at 11:25 and arrive Tokyo Tuesday at 2pm. Two days of meetings locked in a hotel Wednesday and Thursday and then I leave Friday at 4pm but get back in San Francisco Friday at 9:30 am:) Love it! Not really. LOL The flight is 10.5 hours.

Michelle, I hope you have a safe trip.

I finished quilting and binding my charity lap quilt and I put together 3 more charity quilt tops. They all go together quickly since one of the ladies cuts out all the pieces and puts together small kits that are easy to work with. I bring home a bag full of sets and then just put them together as I have time.

I think my quilting is just about done for the day, I have to go through some of my bins and sort out fabrics for a handbag I want to make for DD#3 and one for myself.

I have to get them in the mail.

Michelle I hope you are safe on your trip and at least have some good food if they wont let you out to play :O)

Tul I hope you are ok. That sounds miserable.
