For sunday July 27
Project 1- cut out material for one of the last blocks only 2 more to go, this has been an ongoing BOM from my LQS - 30 min
Project 2- Sweden - unstitched log cabin block that was in backwards and restitched it 60 min
Project 4- Sewed some of the flying geese blocks together - 30 min

Unfortunately my right hip is really sore and so I can do a lot of sewing at the moment so I doubt I will have any finishes this month... but I might next... however I am debating dropping out of it,I am beginning to feel a bit stressed to keep up and I dont want my quilting experience to be one of stress, I took it on as a hobby to reduce stress... as a newbie I am just really slow...
Congrats to all those who are finishing their projects they are all beautifu1.

Beth,
Don't feel stressed because some of the group are finishing UFOs (faster than the speed of light). This was set up to keep us on track, finish or no finish. PROGRESS & FUN are the main things. I for one, am just putting pressure on myself to get some UFOs done because I have so many and they need to "move on". LOL There's no competition here and there are days when I don't have time to work on projects, so we do what we can, when we can, OK?

Alright, I'm off my soap box. ROFLOL

Kathy, thanks for asking about my folks. I was horrified yesterday when my dad actually answered his cell phone and me that he drove himself!!! He can't see (at night he insists that the cars have 6 headlights)and purposely left 2 hours early so that my SIL couldn't stop him! Sooo, we've devised a plan to take away his car on the premise that the AC needs to be repaired and that it needs a part that is on order. That's the latest and greatest. Parents!!! They're like obstinate teenagers. I guess all we can do is be there for them and try to help them keep their independance.

Back to quilting. I worked most of the day Sunday, so didn't get any quilting done. Today however, will be different. I have to run a few errands and then it's quilt, quilt, quilt. LOL I'm having withdrawls. ROFLOL

Go quilting team!

Don't drop out Beth... look at least you got WAAAAAAYYYYYY more points than me! LOL! I knew I wouldn't get much done this month because of our move but I love being part of the group! And I really love seeing all that everyone is getting done! With your points you have definitely been working hard... maybe you just had a lot more hours on projects.... Please don't drop out!

Cheers!
-Alina-

Deanne - luv your quilt. Brenda - another beauty. Beth - I'm not letting you dropout - we need everyone to cheer the other on. You sew when you want and don't when you aren't able. Just make sure you check in with us - okay.

So as to give you the chance to finish a project that may only need a few hours. For Tuesday, July 29 - Thursday, July 31, please work on Project #6 (FREE CHOICE).

I'm going to post now while I have internet. I never know when the thing will work or when it won't. Grrrr!

7/28 #3 turning 20. I decided to add a border to it. 40 minutes. I'm working on the butterfly blocks now that was included in with the turning 20. Hope to get them finished soon. Brenda

Hi,
Here's my progress report for 7-28-08:

#2 - 30 min. Partially quilted and binding cut
#3 - 30 min. Partially quilted and binding pressed

Well, hooey! I had "great plans" to get more quilting done today. LOL Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Things just kept popping up that needed to be taken care of. Such is life. BTW - beautiful quilts everyone - that's what's inspiring to me and I enjoy seeing all the wonderful colors and patterns.
