My Dad's Father's Day Quilt

Post by Georgiapeach » Tue Jun 17, 2008 4:32 pm

This is the label I made. The U.S.S. Sicily is the ship my dad was on in Japan when I was born, the pic was taken on my birthdate. The lower left pic was my sailor dad holding Baby Peach at 5 mos. - LOL! - he was stationed in San Diego, Ca. The lower right pic was taken at a Shrine charity event, the musicians still had on their aprons from serving food that day!

Pam, this is a beautiful quilt & tribute to your dad. I've never made a label like that & I loved it. My DH grandfather was in the bugle core during WWI & I have a pic of that. I know your dad will especially love looking & wrapping up in your lovely quilt.

Oh Pam, the pic of your Daddy made me cry. Bless his sweet heart, he loves his quilt that you made for him. I remember back when you started it and what it would mean to him. I'm so happy that you got to give it to him on Father's Day, that's great. It turned out just perfect, love the quilting, BTW. Good night and thankyou for posting those for us. Amie :oD
