220 count 100% cotton fabric ???

I saw this fabric on Ebay and was wondering if anyone knows if it is suitible for quilting...I know sheets have the different numbers but did not know regular fabric did...would it be too thick? Thanks...Evelyn

Sheets that are 200 count are fairly thick. I would think that 220 count fabric would be also, but I don't know for sure.

I bought 200 thread count muslin to use as a quilt back and it was very difficult to hand quilt through. If you're a machine quilter it would be great as it had a very nice finish. hope this helps. Kristi

I bought some beautiful white on white stripe sheets and pillow cases in Denver a year or so ago - and he thread count was 400. They are beautiful, but you must pull hem out of dryer before it stops...they wrinkle really bad. Believe it was Egyptian cotton.
