I'm not too sure about the "Woody". Not sure if everyone is old enough to remember them. Since these aren't due til 8/15, I'm still kind of looking.

I think the "Woody" is adorable! I would love to have one in my quilt, but if you decide to do something else, that's okay too--- but my vote is YES on the "Woody"!

I am REALLY getting excitd about this swap. These charms will made an adorable Summer quilt, or I had thought that they would be so cute for a beach tote too! I can't wait to see all these beachy fabrics!!!

I went to a quilt shop in another town and found fabric that I believe will work. It is in the washer and getting ready to dry. I will get it finished today and start working on the swap thingy.

Diana, I'm glad you found a fabric. We didn't want to lose you.

I'm surprised at how few "beach" prints there is out there. Even in California, where everything is for going to the beach during the summer. Our Joanns has already started getting in some winter type fabrics (Yay). I want to try some corderoy (sp) for a tote pattern.

I am glad that you all have been able to find some beach prints, I didn't think it would be so difficult. I think the "Woody" is fine, I also have a similar print but mine has surf boards also, seashells and sand dunes are on my other prints.

Sounds like these quilts will have some scenic and everyday beach items in it. I can't wait to get the squares and see how I can arrange them. Some really pretty palms are the alternate scene from the woody fabric, so I'll intersperse those among the lighthouses, surf boards, seagulls, clouds and sand dunes.

I found a really cute fabric with flip flops, I am trying to get a few extra fabrics to add to what we exchange since we don't have that many participants.

I guess everyone is busy with summer plans.
