I agree with Petlover. I know that keeping up with who is and who isn't participating could be a big job, though. However, if certain people continue month after month to not participate, they really should be removed. I still think that there are some people on the list who don't even appear to be regular forum members anymore. --- Having a new sign-up occasionally might help--- just start with a brand new list and only add those who ask to be relisted...

As for June, I haven't received mine yet, but did receive a PM from my SP saying she was running late, but had my gift. It was nice of her to contact me and let me know. I certainly can understand how busy things can get sometimes!

Communication is a very good thing! If you just know that they are actually thinking about you, their secret pal, & not just blowing you off - ya just feel so much better. Like others have said, it's not the gift it's the thought behind getting the gift. Or not getting it.

Maybe to avoid this in the future, it might be better if you had a signup every month. That way you know who is participating every month. Just a suggestion!!!

Many thanks to Quilting time for my June package... the envelope was pretty fancy to begin with and then inside were some lovely note cards with different quilting themes or blocks. There was a fantastic fat quarter and then a paper rendition of an old victorian needle case.. I have never seen anything like it before.. but the best thing was your note introducing yourself to me.. I also appreciated you letting me know that it was going to be late...sometimes life just gets in the way of our good intentions.

I received the BEST gift today from Pilot2b/Helen!!! First there is the neatest project/craft organizer--- it has little zippered compartments for supplies. It will come in so handy for taking my thread, scissors, thimble, needles, pins, etc, with me when I'm out and about and want to have my quilting stuff with me!!!!

Also, there is a beautiful piece-- (looks like a half yard!)-- of Cats, Cats, Cats by Moda. It's red with black pawprints all over it, and I know exactly how I'm going to use it. I'm working on a wall hanging (or may make it large enough for a throw) of a sheltie sitting in a window--- behind her, outside, you can see rolling hills with sheep grazing and a red barn. The red pawprint fabric will be perfect to use in the border! I've had this project sitting in a box for quite a while, and now I feel inspired to get it back out!

Well no real June SP for me but I did receive a nice "makeup" prize today from Michelle06H... thank you so much for thinking of me... I don't know how so many of us can fall through the cracks... but that was soooooooooo thoughtful of you! I love the button tote pattern... I will put it to good use!!!
