Could some one tell how many yards you have to buy to get 15 blocks of each color?

I am making a Grandmother's Flower Garden and I just traced to see if I could get 6 hexagons out of a 8" block and I can.

I will need to know how much to buy before I officially sign up.

Thanks,
Vicky

momof6quilts ~ This is a list that someone had posted in a different topic (Please note you will be sending two 8" blocks for each person that signs up - right now there are 18 signed up) Hope this helps you :o)

Guidelines for buying fabric for charm swaps.

30-5 inch squares need 2/3 yard of fabric
30-6 inch squares need 7/8 yard of fabric
30-6 1/2 inch squares need 1 yard of fabric
30-8 inch squares need a little over 1 1/3 yards

Me - are we sending one bag per swapper or 30 bags. What if you don't get 30 swappers - would we get back ours? I just bought 4 yards of 30s fabrics for the 30s Sampler.

Well I finally found a small selection of 30s fabric at a quilt shop about an hours drive from me! I just wish she would've had more...she only had about 5 to choose from. But at least I found them and now it's time to get the charms cut! I have no idea what I'll make with them...I just know I have to have them!!! :0)

I would like to join this swap so please sign me up.

I went to the closest quilt shop on my way home from work. They had a lot of 30's fabric. So I told myself to only buy what I needed. Well an hour later I got what I needed plus a few extras and ended up spending $65.00. WHEW!

The bad thing is they didn't have any 1800's fabric for the June swap and now I have to go to another quilt shop further away to get the fabric for that. I will really have to watch what I spend tomorrow. It's fun though, isn't it?
