I wanted to post my two pieced butterfly print blocks. I'm almost finished with them--- just a little more to do, then on to my last butterfly!

Oh Jan what a pretty butterfly. Liked how they used an old handkerchief.

Jan, that hankie butterfly is beautiful! I had seen those before, but couldn't find the pattern. Are you thinking of making those for the swap? If so , I'm doing a happy dance!!! :-) If not, I will probably just *have* to make one for myself to add to my quilt because I just LOVE them! :-)

Yes, I want to make these for the swap. I couldn't find any other butterfly blocks that haven't been done yet. I want to do something different. I have the hankies and will begin folding them and applique them this evening. My other blocks are done too. I actually got carried away and made 3 different sets of the "traditional" blocks. I made the Album Twist, Antique Tile and another one called Autumn Tints 2. I will post pics later when I get them d/l from the camera.

The hankie butterly is so pretty. I love the dainty look it has. This will be an interesting and beautiful quilt. Looking forward to it.

OK, folding the butterfly with it's wings open was going to be an 18" block so I had to go back and re-think the idea. Then I found this

So, the butteflies will have landed for my second set of blocks.
