Saturday April 26--Sew In

Post by CaroleJ » Sat Apr 26, 2008 5:01 am

Good grief--the month of April is virtually toast!

I am sort of under the weather, fighting some sort of bug that has me feeling dizzy and washed out. The pale face in the mirror this morning was frightening--lol!

I don't know if I will be able to sew with my head feeling swimmy, but I may try in a little while; have a few orphan blocks from a charity project and some leftover fabric, so I can make a few more blocks and finish the top. (Note to self--make sure you have something for the border before you start cutting!)

Hope everyone else is able to sneak in some sewing today!

Hi Carole, sorry you don't feel good. Rest today & maybe sew later. I know I can't sew if I feel "weird".

I'm going outside before it gets too hot, then finish laundry. I hope to cross stitch & maybe sew today. It's been about 2 wks since I sat down at the sewing machine.

Have a great day everyone

Rest, lots of fluids, more rest!

Off to supervise the bounce house at the PTA fair. I will come chat again when I get home.

Sharon, yeah, better get outside now, the temp is supposed to climb well into the 80's today, and that's at the coast!

Carin, if y'all are doing a bounce house, I hope it's cooler out your way!

I must be a little better today, I am feeling sick and tired of drinking so much water and am grouchy as hell..always a good sign! I'll get by with a little help from my friends!

It was about 55-60 which would have been perfect for the bounce house but the wind was blowing so it was actully a little chilly.

I was supposed to be the responcable adult (hahahahahahaha) and the Jr High kids were supposed to be there to do the work. HA!!! I was alone and the kids were no where to be seen.

At least its over!
I am going to rest and chat for then next hour or so then I am going to go to home depot to get some pots for my flowers and the its the
Boy Scout fund raising dinner tonight. SIGH!!!

CaroleJ,

I do hope you are feeling better.

Grammy, how is the garden coming along?

MAWmum, I know exactly what you mean about the kids and the projects for PTA. We have Math and Science Family Night this coming week...even the Special Needs classes are suppose to have projects for families to do..with the students leading...our class won't even have students show up...so it is up to the teacher and the assistant.

Fabricgirl, WHERE does the time go? Only DH and I today and the day is gone!

Fixin to do some UFOin...hopefully. Ya'll have fun! ;)

Hello to all.......Carole, sure hope you're feeling better!! I'm working on the blocks for the pastel swap, will be sewing the ones I've got cut out and see how many that'll make. Tomorrow will be trying to put together a baby quilt for a neighbor. Sure wish it'd warm up here, we had snow flurries today & with the wind chill, must be close to 0.

Hi Everyone!
Well I am thinking about the June Lotto Blocks. I have the fabric and just want to pick out the blocks. I thought I might try something challenging. I have a butterfly block that is difficult but sure looks pretty. I found it in a book as well as finding it in EQ6. It looks like it would be fun to try.

ME - LOL Be careful what you wish for! In So. Calif. it is in the 90s today! It is too warm.

How are the pastel blocks coming along?
