I will talk to all of you later. I need to go wash the car and I want to go clear our hillside garden of weeds so I can plant a garden.

I'm back...
I dragged myself out of the chair and put together the tortellini salad. It's in the 'frige, all those nice flavors blending together. The girls and I just got back from picking up pies (DHs request, pie not cake); we got a pecan and a cherry. YUM. Not a night to worry about calories! Where's the whipped cream?!!

Redsaltbox, Carol, and Lori, thanks for all the good thoughts about the property. It's so pretty out there...I can feel soul sighing contentedly as I look around. I think it is going to be wonderful for the kids, and for all of us. The walk to the mailbox alone is going to be good exercise for me...! We have discussed a veggie garden; DH is hyped on growing tomatoes. I need to do some research on the local soil and climate and find out what is most likely to thrive out there. There is a vineyard on the other side of the road, up the hill, so that bodes well for growing things.

Lori, the property is in Ramona, a town in east San Diego county, about half an hour west of Julian.

CaroleJ--Ramona is very pretty! In fact the whole area down there is nice. 46 acres! what a dream.

Looks like everyone has gone ;( I am missing everyone this weekend...and I didn't go to "that place"

I just finished piecing my 25th SBS. John and I are going out to dinner with a friend and her H and we are looking at the LB Quilt show catalog together...she wants to see the SBS so they are going to dinner tonight with me. I am also taking the tea cups. My friend is my sewing buddy and she and I went to QIAD together last summer....I am going to try to convince her to join us here, She want to do the class with us on Sat in LB so some of you will meet her!

Carolyn, I'm still here........I've been re-organizing my sewing room & finding all kinds of things that I forgot about. Boy, do I ever have the projects to work on and get done. (Found a quilt kit from a shop hop from 4 years ago, still in the bag with the receipt).

Now have 5 of my 20 blocks done for my disaster quilt. Then I had to read a bit, I'm reading the Elm Creek Manor series--just great--now have to think about getting ready for night-night. Have to work early and hard tomorrow! The f5 key is such a treat! The gals in Paducah are having a blast, but they are being so good for Mama Parker in class--now what else would anyone expect! Have a great evening, catch up with everyone tomorrow.............carol/kittyquilt

I'm still lurking about...dragged out a UFO, brainstormed borders and got the narrow first border cut and stitched onto 2 sides. This was originally going to be a duvet or comforter cover, but I think I'm just going to make it a quilt instead. Don't need to decide for certain for a bit, anyway.

I'm just waiting for DH to get home so we can EAT! I'm ready to croak, I ate lunch early and didn't have any snack this afternoon, so I am really hungry. And there is pie for dessert!
