Ruth, Welcome! Cathy32078 gave you a very good run down of what happens here! Join in, it is a lot of fun and you are sure to get a laugh! If you feel like you missed out go read Saturday's thread. It is usually slower on Sundays than on Saturday, but who knows!

Everyone is waiting for the forum sisters in Paducah to post. They are in class this morning, but don't they have a lunch break? I don't know if it is a an all day class or half day. I am guessing an all day, which means they won't be on until for at least another 4 or 5 hours.

Well I need to keep sewing!

Hey, y'all! Good to see that some of you are here. Boy, did I miss out not being here last night...! I wound up going out with a close friend; she was getting sent home early from work, so she called to see if I could slip out once the kids were in bed. We met at a restaurant not far from my house that has a history of letting us stay late...which we DID...OH my GAWD, it was 2330 when we left! So good seeing her, though! She can't wait to get up to the property we are buying to dig in the dirt; she loves to garden and, by circumstance, lives in a condo. I will set up a bed or a something in my sewing-room-to-be so she can crash overnight from time to time, if she wants to.

I finished the binding on my Christmas piece this morning. Then I bit the bullet and did a bunch of dishes. Ma usually does them (I do all the cooking), but she has been feeling icky and spent most of yesterday and all of Friday afternoon sleeping. She's better today, though, and has been able to eat, so she is fighting it off. I will remind her to take a nice warm shower and get another good long nap in this morning.

Today is DH's birthday...the old man is 49 today! I sometimes can't believe he and I have been together fifteen years this year, married for 13 years in October...who'd a thought going to a bookstore would lead to THIS?! LOL I am making a tortellini salad for dinner and he wants a pecan pie, not cake, so I will need to head out to Coco's later one to fetch one.

What's everyone up to today?

Carole - We did miss you last night. Visiting with a friend is a very good reason though. It sounds like you had a lot of catching up to do. My DH favorite pie is pecan! I do not make him one except at the holidays. He has told me he would like pie for his birthday though. Happy Birthday to your DH!

Aw, Quilter7...what a sweet thing to say...! <sniffle> I am touched. My friend and I hadn't had a good gab in so long; we desperately needed to get caught up with each other!

I got the itch to stitch...maybe I will open up that UFO box and see what grabs me...

CaroleJ.......you sure were missed last night. Boy, was there ever the gasbagging going on!! Tortellini salad really sounds good, want to share that recipe? Happy birthday to your DH!
Oasis, aren't those pictures something? Looks like they had a wonderful, happy time. Wonder if any of them got any sleep last night?

I just popped over to look at the pix from Paducah...looks like everyone is having a great time! With all that going on, who would need Al K. Hawl--? Although a shot of whiskey every now and then goes down real nice...

OOPS! Did I say that out loud?

I sure hope MaMa Parker did, she looked exhausted!

Welcome IamRuth.....there are pictures under Chit Chat then click on "Paducah Pictures 2" and you will see the rest of us, those that got to go to Paducah, KY for the big quilt show. Also, several of us learned last night to click on the "F-5" key to keep these postings up to date. Otherwise you miss what is going on between postings. Is that the right way to say that?
