I have been working on this quilt, its sorta an figure it out as you go sorta thing. I took the "French Roses" idea and the "Fun and Done"(quilt as you go) idea and combined them. I am not sure if I love it. The idea is I need this quilt by April 11th finished! The wedding is that day. SIGH! What do you all think am I just to close to it?

It's wonderful! I want to see pictures after it's washed a couple of times!

Once your border is on to finish the quilt I bet you will like it. I love the flowers.

This is SUCH a cool idea to combine the two methods, and finish the quilt quickly! Hey, I may do that with my roses from the swap!

I agree with SewCarolyn about the border. Do you have border fabric? Post a picture with the flowers otherwise I guess you will need to go shopping. :)

I think it will be just fine. It's very pretty. Could you post a picture of the back. I'd like to see how you do this. Thanks.

The thing about the fun and done is it doesn't have any borders. The edges of the blocks become your binding. I am thinking it will be better when its washed, The back is all white,

You cut the backing fabric 3 inches larger than your background fabric, your batting is the same size as your background fabric. (In this case I made the backing 12" the background and the batting 10")
then I pin the leaves and the largest flower round and sew the whole thing at one time. (so it quilts while I piece) then follow with the 3 smaller rounds one at a time again quilting through all of the fabric,
One you have at least 2 then you put the backs together and sew along the batting/background line (1") so that they are on the front of your quilt. Take the pieces that are sticking out of the front of your quilt fold them in half then fold that down to the background and top stitch.
You repeat this for the whole row and then repeat to attach the rows together, the final step is go around the whole outside of the quilt and fold the 1" that is left the same way as the in-betweens and top stitch them down to the quilt.

In my mind with the white backing and the green background it would look like roses on a trellis. I think its the cold medicine that is making me question everything I do.
