Re: Stabilizer for Machine Applique?
I was just at Joann's and bought some tear away stablizer.
I have the preprinted fusible for the Sue's and Sam's, but I'm adding some embellishments, like a fishing pole for Sam and a kite string for Sue. There I'm doing the button hole stitch on just the background fabric and it bunches up so I need something behind it.
I might experiment with those coffee filters too to see how they work.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Hay, they sound really cute. I sure hope we see pictures of them.

Have you tried freezer paper? It seems to tear away easily for me. Especially if you reduce your stitch length. I think that's the main thing... enough perforation holes and anything will tear away easier.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I went with a tear away stabilizer.
I would post pictures, but we forgot and left DH's camera at his parents house and won't be able to get it back until sometime next month. My pictures are still in memory and I've already mailed the SBS's to Lynn!
