I haven't received my 2nd set of blocks yet. I really don't expect to.

I think she is done with this and those of us who didn't receive our blocks are out of luck. I am sad :(

Do you guys ever ask for swapper's phone numbers? If so was DJ in another hostess' swap ? When you send blocks do you provide a return envelope that is stamped and addressed back to you? Hey, I might be able to get a number. Let me do some checking.

This swap was originally hosted at the end of Dec of 2007 at QATW. The artwork above was done by me. I wish I would have known DJ was over here doing this. Maybe she will mail your blocks soon.

I just finished the quilting on this last month and told my sister to come and get it but that she would have to bind it. LOL

GG I may be wrong, but I kind of think Swtsarahjane had a phone number for DJ. Seems someone did but that she was not takinng calls? Can't remember. I think the Hostess needs the # from her Swappers and the Swappers needs a # from the Hostess too. Just in case. Is this how you do yours? Do you have a Co-Hostess? I would love to see your UGRR quilt. I didn't get in on this one. Sure thought about it & am now happy that I didn't. Am going to make one though after the Holidays are over. I think it will be an awesome learning experience. Just using these fabrics will be stepping out of the box for me. I love them but don't ever use them. Silly huh? lol

One crazy day I decided to make the DEAR JANE quilt. That got me started collecting CW reproduction and for some reason I just fell in love with it. I have lots of reproduction fabrics and have made a good deal of quilts from them. The BOM I offered in 2006 was made from them as well:

Now I can actually make scrappy quilts out of them. LOL

Many of my friends use brights but I just keep going back to these repros.

Happy Quilting.

GardenGal, your quilts are beautiful! Your civil war sampler (like the one we did on this swap) is so much prettier than I imagined it would be all put together. It makes me sad that so many of us haven't received our blocks back to make this. I can't help but hope we'll still get them, but I think I'm probably being foolishly optimistic...only time will tell.

GG- Your quilt is stunning!!!! Thanks for sharing. I, too, am one of the swappers that got burned! Ouch! I bought enough fabric to make the entire quilt, but would have loved to have blocks made by my friends! Bummer Lesson learned. Off to the sewing machine!
