April Secret Pal

Mailed the package to my secret pal on Saturday and sent it priority mail as I was so late - she should get it tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

I believe she lives in what is known as the midwest - straight across the northern states

My package arrived Sat from MN but I won't be able to get to it till this next weekend because I am out of town till then. So I have to wait another week for my surprise...Thanks, Barb

Spudmom, I am glad you like your gift. I found the boas after you wrote that you didn't get one from QIAD. I was so shocked to see them & it is exactly like the ones from QIAD!!!

beatr: Received my SP box today all the way from Washington state and what a surprise. When I opened it, it was literally filled with all kinds of notions. Plus as a bonus, a roll of my favorite candy...Neccos. Now I'll just have to go to the movies. Also included was an interesting note from my SP. Made a gray rainy day definitely sunny!!. What I treat I had when I got home from work today and grabbed my mail! A package from my secret Pal, Michelle--aka SFOquilter!

Three beautiful red print FQ's, a new mouse pad with drawings by Amy Bradley, 2 packages of the prettiest assortment of white buttons and a FULL YARD of the most gorgeous navy blue fabric--with different types of wines in the print. It's so soft and lush looking!!!

Apolta, welcome to the greatest place this side of heaven--El's Angels Forum. If you're enjoying reading these posts, make sure you read the ones in Chit Chat about the quilt extravaganza in Paducah, KY. And the pictures! You'll see some of the gals and picturess of Eleanor and Mama Parker/aka QIAD-Linda, our fearless leader. All of us left behind had a good time just chatting, Kadie and others kept us in stitches. Read through a lot of the posts, that will give you a good idea of what goes on.
There is a thread, Secret Pal Hints near the top of this section, where people have posted answers to specific questions, like fabric colors they like, hobbies, etc. Yes, if you haven't listed your name there, by all means do.
Everyone in the Secret Pal Group just likes to get packages of whatever--fabric, FQs, patterns, notions, candy, goodies, novelties, whatever you can think of. One thing that is very nice that some gals do is write a little "biography" of themselves. Helps others to get to know you. Like where you live, if you have kids, grandkids, what you like to do, how long you've quilted, any other things about yourself you'd like to share.
Just have a great time, and do join the swaps and post when you can. carol/kittyquilt

Carol... Thanks for the welcome... I have been participating in some of the swaps and conversations since about March but the secret pal is new to me... I am super excited for May's to start... I even posted a oic of my current QIAD butterfly quilt I am working on in the photos topics... i was asking for advice on making it bigger and I got a bunch of help... all the gals here are just awesome, and I can't wait to get to know everyone better!!!
