Joann,
I must say I am IMPRESSED! I hope mine turn out as well as yours did.

I am still working on mine, it's slow going but I'm stubborn! *Just* in case I am crocheting one as well.

:)

Great job!
I crochet (just can't seem to get the rhythm of knitting). My first one is almost done!

I love to knit and am planning to knit all the way to Paducah on the bus. I have several blues and will ask my guild sisters for donations of any blue they might have. Have one almost done now........

Thank you all for your kind words and your help with this project.
I wish I could get the hang of crocheting because I think it's faster but I just can't get it!

Kay, how long is your bus trip to Paducah? Bless your heart for knitting all the way! I so wish I were going, but maybe next year! Have a wonderfull time!

Nice job! It will mean so much to the children to know that someone cared enough to make something special for them. I don't know how to knit, so I have purchased the Nifty Knitter thing...when school is out I will try my hand for this project.

Your scarves look so warm and snuggly and the kids are going to love them! I can knit a little, but only very simple things ... but I can crochet anything! lol

I was in a Catholic orphanage and the nuns taught me to crochet ... so by the time I was 8 or 9 I could make the fanciest doilys and tablecloths you can imagine and I loved it! It's still one of my favorite things to do after a stressful day.

Judy, I wish I could crochet better. I know the basic stitches but have major problems with the turn, chair, continue on part of it. Somehow or other my edges are never "nice". I have a couple of books and study them but just can't seem to get the hang of it. I think to crochet the scarves would be so much faster, but since I'm not having much success, I'll keep knitting. Slow ... but it's going.

Thanks to all who have offered to help or donated yarn or supplies.
