Sarah,

Don't put yourself down. We are not here to judge you , we are all here to learn too.

I am also one that jumps into making and still learning everyday on stuff I made went wrong. Don't give up and stop joining in the swaps, you may also miss out on getting a lot of pleasure of seeing other works too. If I made any blocks wrong no one has told me yet. Still waiting myself.

Keep practicing but don't shut us out on helping and giving up on sharing.
Pat/busyhands125

PS I saw your blocks in swap and they are BEAUTIFUL . You did great work.

Dearest SWTSarah, You are so very kind and sweet. We all have learning to do. Nobody ever knows it all. I am so impressed with how well you make quilts and blocks for the short amt of time you've been doing this. I think you do just great! Honey don't be so hard on yourself. By making blocks and putting them together for a quilt, it is all a learning experience. I was covered up in my Autograph quilt this evening and I am so very thankful and happy to have your block in my quilt! I just love you to pieces and love seeing your work. So keep at it my dear friend and don't give up or shut us out. Just remember that by doing...you are learning. AAAAA+++++ for effort.

Love ya bunches
Cathy

Oh Sarah, you are THE newbie quilting Diva! Everyone here loves your quilts and you need to stop putting yourself down. You are doing better thsn 99% of the class, sister. Your way ahead of many quilters at your "grade", SEVEN MONTHS! Crap-ola, you are ahead of where I was at 7 months.

Now, getting involved in tooooo many swaps, I know what you mean. At some point, you have to say no, so you can work on your own quilts. I'm in too many now.

Chin up, you are awesome and nobody here is judging you. We love you, Amie :o)

Hi sweet Sarah, you are a huge part of this forum--please keep coming by to keep us company. Your quilts and blocks are beautiful. You have a sense of color in you work.

The computer is a problem for me, I finally bought my first one last April. You post pictures and show how steps are the time. Photo Bucket gives me fits and I have not got it to work yet.

I always need to learn more. You and the other ladies here have helped me with me quilting problems. Please, don't feel bad by one tiny mistake, I make mistakes everyday of my life. Some days are worse than others.

Oh, Sarah, you are a dear. You make beautiful quilts. Sometimes we all need to slow down. I can't get involved in any swaps because I don't have the time. Sarah, nobody is judging you - I liked you the minute you started posting. So please keep posting here and showing us your lovely quilts.

OMG Sarah - your blocks are gorgeous please don't quit. I will have to post a picture of my first quilt - if you want to see bad. I have been quilting for 7 years and I still make alot of mistakes. For instance, your blocks were closer to the size than mine. Mine were 15" square. Please don't stop. Mistakes only help us to get better.

Sweet Sarah - I have liked you since the first day you posted, you are just so sincere and I love that about you. No body is perfect and especially when it comes to quilting, ripped plenty of seams myself :)
I too, have had to cut down on swaps, just too many that I want to join, would have loved to do the SBS, the teacup and the round robin, but time is a factor, so I'll do the charms and noodels. When I get caught back up with my UFO's, maybe then I'll start joining the sewing swaps again

edited to add the 's after UFO :);

Sarah,
You are definitely Sweet Sarah! I cried when I read your post. My sister has a learning disability so reading your posts is like reading one of her letters. I understand both of you!

If books are confusing you you might try some of the web sites that have videos. There are several sites that have free ones. One is http://www.allpeoplequilt.com'>http://www.allpeoplequilt.com. I am sure other people could give you other web sites as well. All of us need help. I have learned much from not only reading, but even more by watching programs on TV and the Internet. In watching QNN I learned more in just a few weeks than I had in several years of quilting.

There is a famous quote: When the student is ready the teacher will be there.

Bless you Sarah! You want to learn and are not afraid to try!
