Swap Baggies

Post by SewSew » Mon Mar 17, 2008 4:35 am

I just want to thank everyone that puts their user info on a piece of paper inside the baggie with their swap. I have been able to recycle these bags and it has saved me from having to go to the store and buy new ones. Those snack bags are perfect for the noodles and I really appreciate them.

When I receive my charms, noodles, etc, I lay them out and photograph them then transfer them altogether into a large bag with the pieces of paper so I know where they all came from. This way I am able to recylce all the smaller bags for future swaps.

I even reuse the ones with the stickers on them. I just use a marker and black off the name if I can't peel teh sticker off.

Lee, I must be pulling too hard because everytime I try to take a mailing label off I end up tearing the bag.LOL

I have been able to take the larger stickers off but no luck with the small address labels. I guess I can do the same thing you do instead of trying to rip them off and end up tearing bags.

I reuse the baggies as well. The labels usually pull right off the bags. Lori

I too am a believer of the three R's: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Reusing the baggies is exactly what I do! It reduces the number of baggies I have to buy! :-)

This is a good post SewSew. . . . . .I also re-use them. Didn't have to buy more the last two swaps. ;~)

Yep, I reuse all my baggies! I black out the names on the labels, and I've started putting labels on my blocks, so the recipient knows who they came from....

glad to see that we have so many people recycling, and doing their little bit!
