Hi Everyone,
Mine are coming along nicely. That ferry boat is wonderful - great work!

Oh my - Ann I'm with you - I better rethink mine. Susi just gorgeous. BTW, I no longer live in Washington, DC but in Silver Spring, Maryland. I was born and raised in Washington, DC through. Was just wondering if I could still make a Washington, DC block. I gave my Maryland idea to Brenda (Island Girl).

DJ,
I agree, you should go ahead and make a DC block - that's where your roots are. I'm from So Cal and thought about making a Santa Monica Pier block, but decided to go ahead and make an Arizona block. Lots of choices, aren't there?

Mine are so simple I feel bad, but they are similar to what I see out my window.
I have my 20 done but ended up having to piece one block (oops! :) ) so I will keep that one and just send 19 if that is ok.
I can hardly wait to get them back and see what everyone made.

I still check in with you all, but am sorry that my sewing days are now at a halt. I am anxious to see the CW when it arrives. I went to the orthopedic doctor and after the ultra sound tests we will have
left shoulder rotator cup surgery on the 29th of August. the doctor feels that it is the only way to get full usage back and be able to use it for sewing and quilting. A doctor after my heart. So, I will be just checking in a few days when I can get to the computer with little pain. Best of fun for every one!

Mary - I had a torn rotator cuff a few years ago. It was really bad and I had PT for a number of weeks. I was told by my doctor that surgery could help but there was not guarantee. I opted not to have the surgery since there is no guarantee. I have no problems with the shoulder at all - except if I lift anything over 10 pounds (my grandson - Michael).

Good Morning everyone,
Just wanted to check in here.... am just enjoying the cooler morning weather, drinking a cup of coffee and checking emails and such.

My blocks are almost done - there are still a few more to do, but they'll be done on time. I had trouble using the rulers and cutter the past few days. I was staking a small tree out back and got a HUGE splinter in my left index finger - I forgot how much I use that finger! LOL But, I was able to pull it out yesterday (it was 1/2" long) and the finger is already healing and I can now put pressure on that hand. Der! I should always wear heavy gloves when doing yard work. hahahahaha

Happy quilting!
