Hi everyone. We went to church this morning, to lunch w/friends, then came home and took a nap. DH taking some stuff back to Lowe's and getting something else to make my cabinets out of. I'm going laundry. Thought I'd stop off here while the whites are finishing up their cycle. I'm going to finish marking a baby quilt later.

Hi
It's almost 5pm here now. I spent most of my day cutting up my new fabric, and ALMOST finished 4 squares. Am making the Flowers in the Cabin pattern that 12stepquilter posted a while back.

But my quilt in the living room that I am hand quilting is crying because it hasn't had enough attention.... so I'm going to go and work on that for a while.

Have a good night:)

Still waiting for the plumber to call back so I can have water again... fortunatly we have two water systems, one is filtered and goes into the house. The other isn't filtered and is for outsidce... I think I will go outside and get a drink of water.... poor me....I know... this too shall pass .....I'll be back if I don't blow away...

Hi gals......looks like we're off to another slow day here, huh? I just finished cleaning up after supper, so it's back to work on the RR's. I'm not really sure how it'll turn out, but I'm going to give it a try and not give up quite yet. Cynthia.....you've been busy, four blocks done already? Maybe I should've sent some of my ufo's home with you, j/k. That quilt will be gorgeous. I love the fabric you bought for it.

MAW........so, you have a terror at your house, huh? Our schnauzer is like that....all the doors have to be closed, things picked up & nothing close to the edge of the kitchen counters. She can jump as high as the counters & if something is there, she'll get it. After 2 emergency trips to the vets, we make sure everything is put away before she comes out of the kennel. It sure can keep you on your toes. How long will you be dogsitting?

My mom will be back tomarrow to get her. She is kinda a chunk and she love to jump on my 4 year old and knock him down and lick him so my 4 year old screams everytime the dog comes by him.

Hey, y'all! I hope everyone had some fun this weekend...I worked and it was nuts today as we had a sick call. This left three of us available to see 30 moms...well, if each consultation takes 40 minutes minimum, then you have to chart, and we work 8 hour shifts...do the math. It don't add up! Thank goodness I had some highly motivated moms and neat families to interact with. One couple are both teachers, their parents are teachers...so I gave them some information on homeschooling (tee hee!). Former teachers make terrific homeschool parents!

So I am sitting here unwinding, I had a bit of whiskey to smooth out the rough edges of the day. I put my jammies on as soon as I got home. DH had a frozen lasagne in the oven and there was still salad left over for dinner. One kid's in the shower; one is watching telly with DH and Gramma. I am hiding out and playing it cool.

hi..today has been..nuts...up last night until 3am helping Julia finish her bags fpr her sorority sisters
up at 6:30 to help her finish packing
at the airport at 9:30 to see her off
came home had another cup of coffee then off to the Nixon Library for a girl Scout Birthday event and along with Izzy coordinating and putting on a fashion show of vintage uniforms...smooozing the CEO to get funding possibilities for conserving and preserving the uniforms which span from 1917-current (Izzy did all all of the convincing...they all love my girl)
Julia called at 2 and she landed in Chicago safely
home at 3pm, nap time, comforting H and prayers for my FIL
dinner and now looking at the mess Julia and I made....
yawn...not going to happen tonight...
hmm another glass of wine sounds good
