Re: SATURDAY sew in The IDES of March (3/15)
Hi, ladies! I am so glad to still be in my home after today's excitement with these storms! Whew! The news showed that the scary stuff was over and we relaxed, and just now it came on with more tornado warnings for our area. Almost the whole northern part of the state. I hope the Alabama girls are ok! Gardenquilter, keep an eye on the news because it seems this new wave we're having now will most likely follow the same path as earlier today and head your way, too. Sorry! I really hope you and Geneva and Loretta can dodge this bullet! Last night's tornado in Atlanta was the first one ever to hit the downtown area, so it was really unusual. We get tornadoes and severe spring storms in my area, but nothing has ever been as relentless as today! Geez! We haven't been able to leave the house because every 30 min. to an hour there's a new one rolling over and new warnings. I am VERY impressed with the new Doppler radar, it is amazing. It is now able to pinpoint streets and specific areas in the path and times of arrival, wow, that is fabulous! That's a definite comfort!

Hello,
well, I didn't get the living room cleaned but got everything else on my list done.... tomorrow is sewing and laundry so I guess the living room can wait another week....
CArolyn, I just finished the homecoming and now I am reading the new years quilt.

Oh my goodness! You are still having storms??? WOW! I hope you didn't have any damage and that your family is all safe. How much rain have yall had? Sure hope that will help with the drought. I know it has been really bad there.

Just popping in to say "hi and goodbye"...I worked all day, didn't sleep well last night, have been up since around 0330...never got back to sleep. <sigh> I'm pretty beat!
Y'all have fun gabbing and sewing tonight! I'll be hitting the sack soon; once the girls are in bed, I will be able to crawl in, too; gotta work tomorrow as well.

Hi there, MAW. Yes, we did our part "stimulating the economy" at the quilt show today. It was really so much fun. So many things to look at and wonder how they did it. Might have to take a class or two to learn a couple techniques.....the "peeled back" tulip table runner we saw is absolutely gorgeous.

they were..........the shop owner claims that they're really not bad to do, easy for her to say, huh? I haven't taken a class in a long time but can see myself taking that one. Hopefully it'll be offered soon.
