I received 2 packages of crazy quilt blocks today.

Gwen(Bamagirl) and Cathy(sassycathy) all your beautiful blocks made it to my house safe and sound.

Susan(scrappy66), your lovely blocks also arrived safely, I am impressed by all the work you put into embellishing them.

Crazies more time consuming than I anticipated, trying to complete all today so I can mail out 6/2.

Yes, they are more time consuming than I thought too. I had them all finished...went to my MIL to do the "embelishing"...took 6 hourst to do 9 of them! I did them at her house because she'd never done anything like that and wanted me to show her how to do it on her machine....I think I created a monster! She really liked the look and is contemplating doing some of her own. I'm sending mine in half embelished and half not. sorry--just ran out of time.

Please remember that embellishments are optional and that includes the embroidery. I know that some do not have machines that do the decorative stitching and hand embroidery can take a great amount of time.

Me too. I got sick over the weekend and spent Sunday in the bed or in the bathroom. Tuesday, my parents arrived from Tennessee for my daughter's HS graduation on Thursday, so I haven't had a lot of opportunity to finish up the last 5 or so. I'm just glad to know I'm not alone in being late. I'll try to be quick!!!

My mom wants me to show her how I've been doing the blocks. She likes quilting, too, and I've tried to get her to join the forum, but she seems to doubt her computer skills. But I'll keep trying!

How is everyone doing? I know that many have been running late for several different reasons, Ihope we are all back on track and will have the blocks done soon.

Remember if you are overwhelmed by embroidery and embellishments these things are optional.

Whew. I finally finished all the sewing on Friday, but missed the post office deadline today (Saturday), so they should be in the mail on Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's blocks. :o)
