Susan,
I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one that has some very CRAZY blocks! :-) I hope everyone likes them... I'm working on adding some embroidery to them now, and will get them mailed--- hopefully-- on Monday!

I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing--- one thing for sure, they will all probably be very different!

These are two of the blocks I have finished. I hope they will do. My embellishments are by machine. I'm crazy now - because I have to make one more - be careful when you cut down to 10 1/2 ... or you may do what I did and get "cutter crazy"... and have to make another block.
OOPS! :)
I read where you will know when you have enough embellishment when you think you are done and then do a few more.
Don't worry - I quit a little before then.
Cathy

Cathy, they are both very pretty. I know what you mean about the cutting, I was trimming down finished blocks and I accidentally trimmed one that did not have any embroidery on it. If I add it now the block will "shrink" down even more so I am going to embelish this block using something else, but don't know what yet.

I've tried to add the decorative stitches to my blocks like the ones I've seen. My machine is giving me fits! I've unsewed more than I've sewn. Would anyone be mad if my didn't have the stitching on them? I'm just not happy with the way they are coming out. I'd rather each of you do your own thing on my blocks rather than spoil the looks of them with my bad stitching.

Let me know.

Sandy, that would be fine with me. I know how frustrating it is to try to sew when your machine is giving you fits! I've gotten so aggravated that I was ready to toss the whole project at times!! LOL So, doing my own embellishments is no problem-- my machine seems to be in a good mood right now-- hopefully it'll stay that way! :-)
