a 'charming' tip for swappers
I'm working on a quilt now made from 6.5" charms. Sometimes when I'm cutting charms I'll have a row at the end that is 6.25" that can't be sent with the others.
I save all of these b/c they are great for the borders. You can cut them into squares or rectangles and do a piano key border. That's sort of what I'm working on right now. So far, I really like it.
Pics to follow,
dawne

That is a good idea.
I cut mine down to 5 inches or 4 1/2 or 2 1/2 to use for other size charm swaps or to use in my "People, Places and Quilt Shops" quilt.

For those who may be interested I posted 2 pictures of the I SPY quilt I'm working on. One of the pics shows my 'piano key border a la Dawne'.
Pics are in the photo section - I spy quilt in progress.
