LOL, ok good, I kept racking my brain trying to think of places I haven't been... Not many roads here so when you go on a road trip you go through ALL the small towns on the way... :) (What is Cranial flatus?)

Carole ~ I have family with a cabin that gets a great deal of snow and I love to go visit and if I never have to drive or go out into it I would be fine. I just don't want the work part, LOL and since I love to snuggle under quilts I don't really mind when it gets cold.

6Kids ~ I bet I could deal with the winters there if I could live close to you and those darling rascals and we could quilt the entire time the weather was less than wonderful. I may just have to check into that. LOL

Michelle ~ I printed out a list of the shops and they are all pretty close to me, well all but Chico but I think the rest are very possible to do in two days. Love to give it a try. Debi

Palmer and Wasilla are both in the "Mat-Su Valley" we get wind out here. I live about 1/2 way between Palmer & Wasilla out twards the mountians on the way to Hatcher Pass. Beautiful here. We have a great view of the mtns. I grew up closer to Anchorage in Eagle River but I love being a "valley" girl. :) It's a lot more "country" than Anchorage, we're seen more as hillbillys, but I don't mind I like it less snobby. :)

Haha, that's funny (brain fart). Your'e right about homeschool, I'm thankful for it because that means I "can't" go out and get a job... My DH & I discussed that b4 we got married, that was his stipulation, that I not work and school the kids, sounded fine with me, I hated public school...

Anna, your area sounds heavenly to me!

Debi, yeah, I'm with you...snow is fine if I don't have to drive in it, shovel it, or be stuck with it all winter long! I like the fact that we can get outdoors almost any time we want.

Eeek...no wonder I'm not sleepy...my body says it's only 8:30 pm! I'm gonna go take some stinky valerian capsules...back in a few...

Debi, my dear neighbors want to move to OR, so they will be trying to sell their beautiful log home this summer... Also great view, 2 acres, good neibors. ;)
