She's totally fine with him being in Alaska. It's better than Iraq. Less worrying.

Ha, no joke, we don't really worry about being bothered by terrorists up here. Not enough people, it's great!

Hehe, anything with chocolate's probably good. I'm pregnant so I don't even want that much junk food...

Who was talking about choc chip cookies? I just finished making choc cookies with white choc chips for the first time and I have a new favorite!! Yummy..........
Michelle, I will make some for the shop hop if we can pull it together for Friday and Saturday. I think it would be great fun and really want to try.
6Kids, I have been to Alaska twice and loved it both times. I would go again in a heartbeat! I don't know about all the snow, I am really a California girl who gets cold all the time. LOL Debi

Hey everyone, just popping in, too hyped to go to sleep...found my ring! YAAAY!
Debi, you mentioned not liking cold. We have been having a run of warm sunny days; I'm sitting at the ba-puter in my long jammie pants and short sleeves...the long sleeved top was too warm.

Anna, we have friends living in Butler, about an hour outside Anchorage. Jerilyn is a native Californian, lived most of her life here in San Diego, but then she met her DH who loves Alaska and was established there. Now she loves it, too. They are very outdoorsy!

Hehe, I know what you mean about the cold, luckily winters seem to pass by too fast every year, that's QUILTING SEASON for me, so I love it! I don't have a "job" so I don't have to drive to work so I love when it snows and the kids play outside and we all have hot chocolate. I love the dry warm too, I like AZ, UT, NV & So CA, if I ever "retire" I may go there, but then the summers are a bit too hot for me. AK summers are so perfect 70-80 (unless it's rainy)... AK is reletevely dry though, I guess they'd consider it a desert except for the cold weather... That's what I've heard anyway.
BTW, I'll stick to milk chocolate, thanks.
