When I first joined I had no idea what Charms were and had not participated in any swaps before. These NEUTRALS are so nice! I thought maybe it might help some of our new members to know what we are doing. Thanks everyone for the wonderful fabrics. I can't wait to do something with them.

I always separate them to dark, lights, print/florals then just roll them up and store them in a baggie till I have a bright idea!

Oh, those are nice! Well, darn! Now I wish I had participated in this swap too. I thought neutrals sounded boring-but they look beautiful all together in your picture! I'm still learning.

Thanks for sharing and let us know when you have a bright idea. I'm always looking for those.

I almost didn't enter this one either for the same reason. But Pink and brown are supposed to be big and also black and white. So went ahead and entered both. These will be nice with the January swap where we sent anything/any color. Someone posted a picture of a quilt with all light/dark HSTs and formed a pattern. Thats what I'm thinking or maybe El"s "Buckeye Beauty".

Bright Ideas are few and far between lately! LOL

I like this idea of taking a picture of all the charms you got in the swap. It's a sort of 'history' thing. If you don't use all the charms in the same project, at least you can remember how much fun it was to open your 'squishy' bag when it came in the mail. And you can list all the people who participated in the swap to keep with the picture. I like to take a picture of each quilt I finish. Now I'm going to add charms pictures, too.

Love the idea of the photos too. I still have the St Pats and I Spy in bags. Separating them by hues would be great too..

Last night I opened up both sets of 5 inch charms I have: one from a swap last year and one from the Jan08 swap. I was able to find many that I resorted into my other charm sets that are waiting to be sewn into a project. I found some greens for the St. Patricks' day set, lots of pinks for the valentine's set, plus some that work great for the beach charm set I just bought from the lqs. Plus some nice purples to go with the I Spy set I have for my niece.

You never know what you're going to get back when you are in a swap!

I was lucky to join the neutral swap also and I love all the different shades and prints. I still have not decided what to do with them, but you have a great idea to sort them.

Just so you know, I'm combining my January nuetrals with my Red/pinks and making a "raspberry and chocolate" tossed nine-patch!

CindyB. . . . . I had the same thought. A few of these have a little red in them. I have to look at the Tossed Nine pattern.
