Lynns - your quilt is really pretty. I like the charms set on point like you have done them.

Very nice charm quilt! I especially like how the cardinal is almost in the center.

Thanks everyone! I took a class to learn this pattern. It was my first class. It's really easy to do. I paid the lqs to do the quilting for me. I love the cardinal too. That's a directional print sp he's a little tilted on his branch!
I bought a beach charm set and I'm going to make another one like this to hang in the family room over the couch. Then I can switch it with this one at Christmas.

Beautiful Job - I have to ask - Do you stress over where to put the different colored charms or do you just pick them up and put them wherever they end up? I have such a hard time with trying to place colors next to each other. This quilt looks great. Laura

Yes I do stress over it a little. The teacher of the class was telling people just to do it randomly but then you sometimes get two reds together or two plaids together. I spread out all of the charms on the table, then grabbed two and put them together to see howthey were. I only spent a quick moment doing this for each pair but I did reject pairs if they were too similar in color or pattern. Some of the charms were from the same fabric line so you could tell they "went" together just glancing at the charms all spread out.
With this pattern though, you sew them straight and then have to cut along two diagonals and rotate the cut sections to make the charms on point. So right along the center is where sometimes you might end up with two reds next to each other or something. But there really isn't a way to get around that.
