May 2008 8 inch Charm Square Swap: Floral - Homeward Bound!

Evie--charms arrived yesterday morning. Just beautiful selection: thanks to all who took part. And very special thanks to you, Evie. I just returned from Florida Sunday late afternoon ( 7 hour drive ). Ate a snack, threw some clothes in the washer and immediately fell asleep on the couch for several hours. Monday AM had MD appointment (follow-up mammogram done 6/13)--all is well and I am thankful .

Yesterday and this had to work in garden, and working this afternoon.
So this evening I will get back to cutting and sewing like a happy little elf. OK a happy big elf.

Thanks again, and I will be making the hot pad for sure. What a really nice little pattern, and thanks for the instructions and insulBrite.

Evie - received my absolutely beautiful charms yesterday. Thank you so much for the card and gift, I need potholders badly. Now, I have another UFO to add to the UFO Buster sew-a-long.

This is a perfect serger pattern if you have one. Finishes everything nice and neat.

It's a little different but just follow exactly and it will turn out nice. I was 2nd guessing and then just went with it and it happened! I rounded my corners as I saw that they weren't going to be as pointed as I would have liked and forgot to add a hanging tab. I'm going to try it again and do the triangle version. After I turned it I top stitched it so the layers wouldn't be loose.

I want to thank everyone again for all the beautiful charms. We all will have lovely quilts made even more special by sharing fabric with our friends. :^)

My charms have arrived. Just been so busy I guess I didn't realize I hadn't posted here. They are all quite pretty and looking forward to making something with them. My son is here visiting from South Dakota with his family so not sure I will get any sewing done. Going to try and get binding on two quilts so they can take them home with them.
