Marie, I just bumped the BOM for Egg Money Quilts - Peony. The first block I did is in Batiks. It's painted fabric and a bit on the wild side.

Homespun is a course open weave (I think).

Maybe some one can bump a picture for you.

Just checked in to see how everyones doing. My temps now at 101.7 and I've got an appointment to see the Doc tomorrow. Thanks for all the well wishes - I'm off to bed again. :^(

Evie - we are prewashing fabric - correct?

DJ, the instructions say to put a note in our baggies whether our fabric is washed or unwashed so prewashing is not required. Lori

I wash my fabric before i cut. When i buy it and come home i wash it. Let us know if you dont want us to wash it. It works better after washing then u dont have them things hanging down.Sarah

It's up to you whether to prewash or not. Some people are really against it and some for it. I'm prewashing mine because one of the fabrics has a lot of red in it, and I want to be consistent.

Another question was brought up about Wal-Mart material. Let's not use Wal-Mart material. I think everyone will be happy with their local quilt store fabrics, Hancocks, Joann's or Hobby Lobby. I found a fantastic deal at Hancocks the other day. They had all their kona solids on sale for 50 percent off. Yep, I went wild. I even bought 3 yards of teal! Maybe I will do my lattice in teal.

Don't forget - major sales next weekend for National Quilt Day. Also, check your stash first. You might find enough fabric there to do the swap with.

I don't want anyone to stress over this. Let's have fun.

Speaking of fun, the doctor diagnosed me for the flu even though I had the flu shot last fall. I still feel like one lump of miserable, but at least I'm not running a temp anymore. It spiked at 103 on Thursday.
