Last week I finished picking out my fabrics. The current plan is to work on this quilt when I go to my retreat in April.

Itchn2Bstitchn - if I thought about it, I would think you agree with my friend about this fabric.

The "ugly" brown you called it, would possibly fit right in as a Binding, narrow sashings as accents or in some 9 patches throughout the quilt. Just some ideas.

The 'ugly brown'is going to be the dark chain in the quilt. There's just enough, provided i don't make any cutting errors. No idea what I'll use for binding - figure I'll worry about that later - along wiht any border if I decide the quilt needs one.

It's April 17th - 21st. 3 1/2 days of sewing. We get in the afternoon of the 17th (depending on how many wrong turns we take) and then leave after breakfast the morning of the 21st.
I can't believe it's less than a month away. I've got so much to do -secret sister gift to put together, lotto blocks to make (waiting on background fabric), swap blocks to make, mystery quilt pattern to get copied, mystery quilt to finish (needs borders and I'd like to get at least one quilted), and t-shirt logo to finish designing. Hum...something maynot happen because I also have to prepare the the sashing pattern for the quilt club (different group) charity quilt, and I've paid for one quilting class and want to take another all before we leave!
Then of course there's the packing. Good thing I'm taking the 16th off from work.
