Thanks guys! Appreciate the pats on the back.

I would really like to have this be a project that is done entirely by me. I've never made a full quilt, without help, from start to finish except quilts that are tied.

I'm feeling good about El's method of machine binding. Wondering about the quilting though. Stitch in the ditch won't be enough due to the large size of the squares.

Dare I attempt a hand-quilted motif in each square?

Also, any opinions on what makes a good sized lap quilt?
