Sweat Shirt quilt

Post by quiltwithmom »

I know someone has made a sweat shirt quilt. I've been off for a while and can't remember where I saw it. I know that with the T-shirts you use a fusable interfacing to stabilize the shirt fabric. But with sweat shirt they are so heavy and don't seem to need a stabilizer.
What are your thoughts on this.
Hugs and happy quilting,

I have made 3 for another lady. You do need to stabilize each shirt with some kind you fusible interfacing. Making them is nothing compared to quilting them. The three I made was hand quilted, it was a problem--but we got them completed. We quilted them in a simple design and they actually turned out pretty.

I cut the emblem on the front of each shirt in as big a square as possible and sewed sashing around each one. Added borders to the outside.
