Well, inspired by Armywife, I spent some time yesterday repairing and restoring a much-loved pillow. It's a Looney Tunes fabric featuring the main characters, Bugs and Taz, etc.

I actually wound up with TWO pillow covers. Decided to use each side of the old pillow as the front of two new ones; they are now backed in denim with an envelope opening in the back so they are removable. They are about 18" square; I will look for premade pillow forms while we are out on errands today...God willing and the creek don't rise! (It is raining like mad outside.)

Dragged out two UFOs today, 2 Dresden plate Christmas wreaths...trying to remove pencil marks for quilting lines. A dose of Oxyclean and a run through the washing machine faded them, but they are still hanging on. Dammit! Will try Grandma's Spot Remover next, I guess.....

Made the last of the tassels for DD's scarf; need to sew them on.

Bleah!

I finished (finally) a dresdan plate quilt this last week. I had started it last winter. It's all quilted and ready to go

I have put another dresdan plate in the frame that I want to get started on tomorrow.(or when my thumb heals) Maybe I can start on it the end of the week.

I quilt all my quilts by hand, so it goes slow, but hand work is relaxing. I love it

This is two UFO's finished. I still have a stack to do.

Congratulations on finishing a UFO. Have you posted a picture yet?

I've not worked on my UFOs this past week. I've been reorganizing my stash, which naturally resulting in working on two new quilts. One I've cut 2/3 of the fabric for a mystery, the other I've simply set the fabric aside - I've got to find more 1800's fabric before I can start it.

As far as projects in the works, I finally got the borders on the t-shirt quilt, and I've framed most of the 4-patches in my b&w stacked posie quilt. I best get a move on it, I'd like it finished by Tuesday... or maybe I don't, as I can use it as a teaching sample in the class I'm teaching Tuesday.

Thanks, Cindyg...I tried a Magic Wand stain stick directly on the remaining marks and put them back in the washing machine...need to go fetch them out and see what's what...

Lesson learned: the longer marks are left on the harder they are to GET OUT...big duh, right?

I be gettin' more smart ever' day...! Sheesh...

Had to put my UFO fall block quilt aside to get started on my Paducah quilt and make a baby quilt. So I'm still in the club. LOL

Think I'm about to add a work in progress. LOL. A fellow military wife has a 13 year old brother who's battling cancer. So I've been thinking about getting a bunch of pics from her and putting together a lap quilt with the photos for him to have at the hospital with him. I have another military wife willing to help out with it, so hopefully could get it done rather quickly. Nothin too fancy since the main focus would be the photos!!
