I got my wish for cooler weather...it's grey and damp outside after 4 days of cloudless blue skies and temps in the 70's--!

PPPBBBBBHHHHHH! (I don't like the grey skies!)

I took my lovely fall swap quilt with me to the park. Didn't need it until around three, when the wind picked up and the clouds rolled in. I was so warm and cozy; the wind won't go through it! Ahhhh!

The joys of keeping a project for my own greedy self :->

Hancock's delivered the U of Nebraska fabric in double-quick time! Spent a bit of time yesterday making a coffee mug block from it.

Showed it to DH; he really liked it, said he wanted to take a picture of it. Then he asked if I could make *another* one; when I asked why, turns out he thought I was making all these coffee mug blocks for a SWAP, and he wanted one for himself! I told him, no way, all these cute mugs I have been sweating over are staying *right here* with us, for our home. He was pleased--! (Odd because he usually doesn't get excited about my quilting projects...but I do give most of them away...)

So now there are eight mugs done, January through August...just four to go and then I will be able to play with ideas for sashings and cornerstones--!

Carole my DH usually doesn't comment on my quilt making but every once in awhile he will be disappointed when I say I am making something for a swap or for someone else. I am finishing one of my ufo's for us and he was really happy with that.

I had to put aside my DD#3's birthday quilt for a few days because I have to finish one of my swaps. I should back to it by next week sometime and I also have to pin my ufo house block quilt that I am keeping for DH and myself.

For lack of a better name, I am calling it my house block quilt. I had posted this picture in the photo section, under UFO/WIP, when I was working on it. I have since finished the top and got it all pinned and will start quilting next week.
