UFO Support Group

Post by CaroleJ »

This group, founded by Nancy/qltsbeme, is being shifted over to the Quilting and Fabrics category (with Nancy's okay, I must add!).

It is a group for those of us who have "more UFOs than toes", as Nancy said, and want to support each other in turning them into *Finishes*. Even if you only have a few UFOs lurking around, if you need a cheering section...come on over!

Come join us, post your UFO lists (even non-quilting projects, if you wish), and let's see what we can accomplish together! We can DO this!

I have Izzy's t-shirt quilt to complete and a scrapbook frame to finish for my bedroom.

I don't count the projects that are on my sewing table and have been for a couple of weeks. To me a UFO is one that has been untouched for 3-4 months.

oh.............I have mending to do that fall in that category ;(

I have:

1 quilt that only needs a label to be finished

1 quilt that is ready to be quilted-my least favorite part, lugging that big quilt under my sewing machine.

1 quilt that needs the backing sewn together & then sandwiched to be ready for quilting

1 quilted tote bag - started sewing it together yesterday

I dare not make a list of my ufo stack because it would probably take up a page or two.LOL

I think I will just tackle one at a time. I posted a picture in the photo section of my latest ufo that I am working on.

I have a quilt top that needs batting quilting and binding.

I have a quilt that needs borders and the above.

I have a bom project due in guild in March.

If I don't start something else, (a scrap quilt is calling me), I should have them done this month.

I have more UFOs than fingers & toes. I have to borrow my husbands to count them all, so I'll go with the short list.

Subject to change and in no particular order:

Compass Lone Star - star is quilted, but need to quilt background and then add remaing blocks & borders.

Sisters Block Swap - will be Quilt as you go (QAYG) only have blocks

Green & Cream Block Swap - QAYG only have blocks

Black & Bright Swap - QAYG only have blocks

Stack & Whack - want to get to the top stage by the end of the year

Thangles BOM - have blocks & want to get to the top stage by the end of the year

Red, Black & White - Need to get quilted for oldest nephew
Black, White & Blue sampler - need to get quilted for 2nd nephew

There are other quilts on the list the 1st six I listed at my LQS on their UFO club. The other two are graduation quilts.

I have way more UFO's than fingers and toes.
Shame on me.

This winter I did get two UFO's finished but added three.
Shame on me.
