sons ugly quilt

will try and send another that is close up....he picked all the material out.. it is ugly but he loves it and several guys wanted to buy it from him.... all material is wild life and around snow ball blocks is material of pheasant feathers, border is camuflauge material in green and browns.

there are all wild animals, fish, cabins, loons, bear,dear, otters, beaver you name it.. even a skunk.

This is all hand quilted shadow quilting around the leaves I don't think you can see it on here.. in the border I traced a leaf off a atree my husband planted and and put a scroll down the sides and traced the leaves to attach to the scroll.

Had a pretty fat quarter of leaves and didn't know what to do with it so made this table runner. no pattern just some blocks

First attempt at paper piecing, cut some tips off will do better next time.. I hope

I don't think your sons quilt is ugly just manly! I think your quilts are wonderful!

I love all of your projects but I agree with you that the sons quilt is not my cup of tea but what is important is how much he loves it and you did do a beatiful job sewing it. You obviously have a satisfied and proud son because he keeps telling you that his friends want it. That is what it is all about....

Thanks for sharing these. Guys see things through a different pair of eyes! I know as I raised two sons! LOL They too, like the outdoors look and I am in the middle of making an outdoors quilt. It is taking me forever as I have to force myself to work on it. A true gift of love.
