Amie,
Your delightful blocks arrived today. And yes, you singed them but it's really nice. No worries mate! From a distance you can't see the writing but up close the recipient will always smile when they see your names and TN on the block. Love from far away :)

PLEASE thank you daughter for me. Tell her I love how the pinks work with the blue. I also love the block with the red bird in the center. It very nicely showcases the bird fabric and I love the blue, almost plaid-like fabric.

Thank you!

Caroline,
Thank you for sending out blocks. A block is a block no matter if you made them or simply pass them on. ALL appreciated. Can't wait to see them!

Just heard a horrible story in the news AGAIN. My friend has suggested that we make up quilt tops and keep them at the ready b/c there is always a 'next time', another person who needs comfort.

Thank you ladies! I could not make the needed blocks AND piece the tops. I just don't have the time. You've been a great help.

Linda......ohhhhh LINNNNNNNNN DAAAHHH,

Hope you see this message. Your blocks arrived today. You now it's something special when an 11 year old boy hangs around to watch the mail being opened.

We all love the blocks. I especially enjoyed looking at the log cabin blocks made with patterned fabric and not just solids. I'd never seen that before and I like it!!

thank you Linda, again and again,

A special thank you to Mary in CA (sorry I don't know your screen name) and vagrandma.

Your blocks arrived today.

They are all stunning. Truly stunning.

It's so fun to see lots of block patterns that are new to me and just as fun to recognize some. :)

thanks again,
dawne

Hello all!

Just wanting to show a finished quilt top made from blocks sent to me by petlover, from this forum. I believe the block is called shoofly?

My friend Lorraine did a marvelous job in just a few short days adding snowball blocks to our donated blocks. I love the overall, geometric look and the serene feeling from the blue. The yellow and blue border she added is a nice touch. Great job Lorraine!

Hoping this works!

Oh! It looks great Dawne! You & Lorraine did a good job. Thanks for posting the picture. I've got a quilt on my bed made out of those blocks & just didn't want to make anything else with them. This was the second quilt I've ever made & I had no idea how many were needed. I'm so glad the extras went to a wonderful cause. You & Lorraine are truly a blessing!
