My First "real" quilt

Post by sewcarolyn » Thu Jan 10, 2008 5:32 pm

I have made tied quilts and quillows but this is the first pieced quilt. I gave it to my older D for Christmas(she is 20). A very talented long arm quilter named Russ at Bears Quilts in Garden Grove CA did the quilting. My D cried when she read my inscription...sure hope this uploads right ;)

Another great quilt, Carolyn! The quilting on it is really neat too. I love the inscription. Did you do that on an embroidery machine?

The inscription was done by my quilter. He adds whatever you want to the quilt at no extra charge. It is machine done. I was going to make a label on my machine but this is so much nicer.

Elizabeth is a singer and began performing in Musical Theater in our community at 5. She went to an arts high school for musical theater, attended a summer intensive program at NYU and is doing an internship this spring with a classical vocal group who performs with the Orange County Symphony. She is a business major (at Northeastern in Boston) who plans on going into production or entertainment law, so the music material is perfect....and it was all from my stash
